Elections Registrar

The Butts County Board of Elections is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Elections Registrar to join our team. This position provides essential administrative and technical support to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of elections and voter registration in Butts County.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with voter registration processing, updates, and record maintenance
  • Support the preparation and coordination of elections, including ballot materials and poll worker scheduling
  • Process absentee and advance voting applications and ballots in compliance with Georgia election laws
  • Provide information and assistance to voters, candidates, and poll workers
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal election laws, policies, and procedures
  • Assist with community outreach and voter education initiatives

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required, additional education in public administration, business, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of administrative, clerical, or election-related experience (or equivalent combination).
  • Must possess or obtain Georgia Election Certification (GEROC) within 6 months of hire.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to work extended hours, evenings, and weekends during election periods.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills
