Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Butts County is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Deputy Finance Director to assist the Finance Director with the financial operations of County government.

The Deputy Finance Director will assist with budget and audit preparation, financial statements, banking activities, account reconciliations, invoicing, accounts payable, investment records, depreciation schedules, grant reporting, and financial software reconciliation. This position also serves as the acting supervisor in the absence of the Finance Director.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and skills.
• Two to four years of related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of financial management, accounting practices, budgeting, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
