Appraisal Technician

Salary will be based on experience and qualifications

The Butts County Board of Assessors is seeking to fill the position of Appraisal Technician. This position is responsible for assisting property appraisers with daily tasks.

We are looking for a dependable individual with excellent customer service skills who works with a minimum of supervision and exercises excellent independent judgment and is attentive to detail.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Records and maintains accurate appraisal records including ownership transfers, deeds, splits, homesteads, and land value changes
• Enter all departments data in related software
• Prepare records for appraisers to value and verify, files property documentation
• Assist in processing re-evaluations
• Answers the telephone, responds to customer inquiries and requests for information

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent, or a combination of education, experience and skills that meet the prerequisites of the position
