To the citizens of City of Jackson, City Council District 4:

OCGA 21-2-495, Mr. Stephen Vasil has formally requested a recount for the City of Jackson City Council District 4 race. This request was submitted on November 10, 2023.

The recount is scheduled to take place on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 10:00 am. The recount location is set at 625 W. Third St., Suite 5, Jackson, GA 30233.

As per the provisions of the Georgia Code, a candidate who has not been declared elected and where the margin is not more than one-half of 1 percent is entitled to request a recount. The recount process will be conducted transparently and in adherence to all applicable legal procedures.
