A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF BUTTS COUNTY AWARDING A BID FOR DISASTER MANAGEMENT SERVICES; TO AUTHORIZE THE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN THE RESOLUTION; TO AUTHORIZE THE CLERK OF THE 125TH SESSION TO ATTEST THE SIGNATURE AND FOR OTHER RELATED AND LAWFUL PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, Butts County is a duly created and validly existing political subdivision of the State of Georgia under the Constitution and laws of the state of Georgia and governed by the Butts County Board of Commissioners; and,

WHEREAS, the Board wishes to award a bid for services to Goodwyn Mills Cawood, also known as “GMC”, said company’s proposal to County RFP 2023-04 for “Consulting Services for Disaster Recovery and FEMA Public Assistance” having been evaluated as part of a competitive bid process and, having been found to be the most responsive bidder capable of rendering the desired services sought by the County, it is, therefore:

RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners hereby declares that the foregoing preamble and whereas provisions set forth hereinabove constitute, and shall be considered to be, substantive provisions of this Resolution and are hereby incorporated by reference into this provision; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners awards to the firm of Goodwyn, Mills & Cawood a bid to provide disaster management and consulting services on behalf of the County, in the amount of $150,000.00 and hereby authorizes the Chairman to sign this Resolution and all required documents to execute the terms of this Resolution and for the Clerk of the 125th Session to attest all signatures; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its adoption by the Butts County Board of Commissioners and that any and all resolutions in conflict with this Resolution shall be, and they are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed; and it is:
