Mr. Douglas called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm, joined by Commissioners Rivers and Brown

Item 2023-06-125 Adoption of the Docket
Mr. Brown moved to approve the docket, seconded by Mr. Rivers and approved with unanimous consent and adding approval of a quitclaim deed to the docket for approval.

New Business

Item 2023-06-126 Public Hearing on Text Amendment for HB1405 Compliance
Mr. Douglas opened the public hearing. No one spoke in favor of or against the text amendment and the hearing was closed. Mr. Brown moved to approve the text amendment, seconded by Mr. Rivers and approved 3-0.

Item 2023-06-127 Public Hearing on Text Amendment of UDO 14.3
Mr. Douglas opened the public hearing. No one spoke in favor of or against the text amendment and the hearing was closed. Mr. Brown moved to approve the text amendment, seconded by Mr. Rivers and approved 3-0. The Resolution authorizing the amendment shall be included as a part of the Book of Resolutions, Volume 2 and sent to MuniCode

Item 2023-06-128 Public Hearing on Text Amendment of UDO 14.40
Mr. Douglas opened the public hearing. No one spoke in favor of or against the text amendment and the hearing was closed. Mr. Brown moved to approve the text amendment, seconded by Mr. Rivers and approved 3-0.

Item 2023-06-129 Approval of Quitclaim Deed for Wallace Road Abandonment
Mr. Welch requested the Board authorize the Chairman to sign the quitclaim deed, which would have the effect of deeding the abandoned roadbed property over to ProLogis for their future construction of a logistical center. Mr. Rivers moved to approve, seconded by Mr. Brown with unanimous consent.

Item 2023-06-130 Update on SPLOST Negotiations
Mr. Johnson updated the Board on the recent workgroup session between the Cities and the County and requested that a Commissioner also be assigned to the workgroup for the next meeting. No official action was taken at this time.

Item 2023-06-131 Executive Session for Legal and Personnel
Mr. Rivers moved to enter Executive Session, seconded by Mr. Brown with unanimous consent. Later the board reconvened and Mr. Welch reported that an update on litigation matters underway and a personnel matter was discussed. Mr. Brown moved to adjourn, seconded by Mr. Rivers with unanimous consent.
