The Butts County Board of Commissioners invites you to submit a proposal for a turnkey project to provide a new UHF Digital Trunking System. Attached herein are the general conditions, technical specifications, and submittal format.

A mandatory pre-proposal conference has been scheduled for Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Administrative Offices located at 625 W. Third St., Jackson, GA. Attendance at the pre-proposal conference is mandatory for Proposers responding to this proposal to become more familiar with the project and to ask questions.

Questions or clarifications regarding this proposal should be directed to Tina Lunsford Procurement Specialist, at tlunsford@buttscounty.org no later than July 12, 2023. Any possible exceptions to the specifications and/or terms and conditions should be addressed during this phase. These requests will be answered in an addendum if such information is necessary so that all potential bidders will have the information. Questions will be answered in an addendum posted to the county’s website https://buttscountyga.com. The deadline for the first addendum, if required, will be July 14, 2023. The posting of additional addenda may be required, and it is the responsibility of the Proposer to ensure that they review the County’s website for any additional addenda, and that they submit acknowledgement of all applicable addenda (on the included form) with their solicitation. Proposers should not expect to be individually notified by Butts County. Sealed proposals will be accepted until July 25, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Any late submittals received will not be considered. 1. Why a UHF System?

With traffic think this will be the best solution, but we are open to all alternatives. Clear in the morning but by afternoon lots of static.

3. We have a 4 site Microwave system.  SCTC, E-911, and Jackson Lake Inn Rd Water Tower, and Hwy 16 W Water Tower are the sites.

4. Is there a list of test sites? No

5. Areas of concern?

Out by the lake and by the interstate. By the interstate we have a lot of growth of industrial with warehouses.

6. The height at the tower sites are 125ft at the water tower sites, 150 ft at SCTC site and 90ft at the 911 center.
