A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF BUTTS COUNTY AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY MANAGER TO SIGN A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR THE PROVISION OF MUTUAL COOPERATION AND SERVICES BETWEEN BUTTS COUNTY 911 AND HENRY COUNTY 911 AND FOR OTHER RELATED AND LAWFUL PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, Butts County is a duly created and validly existing political subdivision of the State of Georgia under the Constitution and laws of the state of Georgia and governed by the Butts County Board of Commissioners; and,

WHEREAS, the 911 Centers of Butts and Henry County wish to have an updated Memorandum of Understanding that outlines certain mutually beneficial and reciprocal services provided, one to the other, during times of emergencies or system outages, or in the carrying out of duties that may require the assistance of one County to the other, now, therefore be it:

RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners hereby declares that the foregoing preamble and whereas provisions set forth hereinabove constitute, and shall be considered to be, substantive provisions of this Resolution and are hereby incorporated by reference into this provision; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners authorizes the County Manager to act as their agent in the signing of this agreement and ensuring that terms and conditions are carried out as the MOU outlines, and authorizes the Chairman of the Board to sign this Resolution and for the Clerk of the 125th Session to attest this Resolution; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its adoption by the Butts County Board of Commissioners and that any and all resolutions, prior agreements or memorandums of understanding in conflict with this Resolution and the accompanying Memorandum of Understanding shall be, and they are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed; and it is:
