A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF BUTTS COUNTY AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN AND COUNTY STAFF TO SIGN DOCUMENTS RELATING TO THE PROVISION OF SPACE FOR PERSONNEL ASSOCIATED WITH THE 10TH DISTRICT OF CONGRESS’S REPRESENTATIVE AND FOR OTHER RELATED AND LAWFUL PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, Butts County is a duly created and validly existing political subdivision of the State of Georgia under the Constitution and laws of the state of Georgia and governed by the Butts County Board of Commissioners, who is the legal owner of and custodian of all County buildings and grounds, charged with the assignment of use of said properties for public purposes; and,

WHEREAS, the Office of the Congressional Representative of the 10th District of Georgia wishes to acquire the use of an office space within the Historic Butts County Courthouse Visitors Center for conducting official business, meeting with constituents and other related duties; and,

WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Butts County wishes to enter into an agreement for the provision of aforementioned space under terms spelled out in the lease agreement; now, therefore be it:

RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners hereby declares that the foregoing preamble and whereas provisions set forth hereinabove constitute, and shall be considered to be, substantive provisions of this Resolution and are hereby incorporated by reference into this provision; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners, acting as the legal agent and custodian of all Butts County Government property does hereby authorize the Chairman of the Board to sign all associated documents and appropriate staff members to execute the provisions of this Resolution and for the Clerk of the 125th Session to attest this Resolution; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its adoption by the Butts County Board of Commissioners and that any and all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution shall be, and they are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed; and it is:
