Series 1: Public Hearing on 2022 Proposed Millage Rate (8:00 AM, Courtroom B)
Chairman Joe Brown called the June 16, 2022 Series 1 Public Hearing to order at 8:00 AM, joined by Commissioner Douglas and Commissioner Crumbley. He called on Mr. Brewer to read the statement of purpose for the hearing.

Item 2022-06-120 Purpose of Hearing
Deputy County Manager Michael Brewer read the purpose and rules of the hearing to the public.

Item 2022-06-121 Presentation on Millage
County Manager Brad Johnson gave a presentation on the proposed millage rate for 2022, which was advertised to be lowered from 12.959 mils to 12.209 mils. He stated that due to the final numbers coming in from the Board of Assessors being better than anticipated that the Administration was recommending that the Board lower the millage further than originally proposed, to 11.959 mils, a full one mil rollback.

Item 2022-06-122 Public Hearing
Chairman Brown called the Public Hearing open and invited the public to be heard. No one spoke for or against the proposed millage rate and the public hearing was closed. Chairman Brown commended the Administration for achieving the goal of reducing the millage rate without impacting services.

Item 2022-06-123 Adjournment Motion.
Mr. Douglas moved to adjourn, seconded by Mr. Crumbley with unanimous consent, 3-0.

Series 2: Public Hearing on Proposed FY 2023 Budget (5:30 PM, Courtroom B)
Chairman Joe Brown called the June 16, 2022 Series 2 Public Hearing to order at 5:30 PM, joined by Commissioner Rivers, Commissioner Henderson and Commissioner Crumbley. He called on Mr. Brewer to read the statement of purpose for the hearing.

Deputy County Manager Michael Brewer read the purpose and rules of the hearing to the public

Item 2022-06-125 FY2023 Budget Overview & County Manager’s Comments on Budget
County Financial Officer Rhonda Blissit gave the CFO Statement on the Budget. County Manager Brad Johnson then gave an overview of the goals and accomplishments that the budget would facilitate and services that would be restored if the budget is passed as it is.

Item 2022-06-126 Public Hearing
Chairman Brown then declared the Public Hearing open and invited the public to be heard. No one spoke in favor of or against the proposed budget and Chairman Brown then closed the Public Hearing.

Item 2022-06-127 Adjournment Motion
Mr. Rivers made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Mr. Crumbley with unanimous consent, 4-0.

Series 3: Public Hearing on 2022 Proposed Millage Rate (6:00 PM, Courtroom B)
Chairman Joe Brown called the June 16, 2022 Series 3 Public Hearing to order at 6:00 PM, joined by Commissioner Rivers, Commissioner Crumbley and Commissioner Henderson. He called on Mr. Brewer to read the statement of purpose for the hearing.

Deputy County Manager Michael Brewer read the purpose and rules of the hearing to the public

Item 2022-06-129 Presentation on Millage
Mr. Johnson noted that the recommendation from Administration was to further reduce the proposed millage rate to a full mill reduction, making it 11.959 mils.

Item 2022-06-130 Public Hearing
Chairman Brown then declared the Public Hearing open and invited the public to be heard. No one spoke in favor of or against the proposed millage rate and Chairman Brown then closed the Public Hearing

Item 2022-06-131 Adjournment Motion
Mr. Crumbley made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Mr. Henderson with unanimous consent, 4-0. The meeting was adjourned.

Series 4: Public Hearing on 2022 Proposed Millage Rate (8:00 AM, Courtroom A)
Chairman Joe Brown called the June 22, 2022 Series 4 Public Hearing to order at 8:00 AM, joined by Commissioner Rivers and Commissioner Crumbley. He called on Mr. Brewer to read the statement of purpose for the hearing.

Item 2022-06-133 Public Hearing
Chairman Brown then declared the Public Hearing open and invited the public to be heard. No one spoke in favor of or against the proposed millage rate and Chairman Brown then closed the Public Hearing

Item 2022-06-134 Adjournment Motion
Mr. Rivers made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Mr. Crumbley with unanimous consent, 3-0. The meeting was adjourned.
