Section 1: Opening of Workshop
The workshop opened at 5:00 PM, with Chairman Joe Brown presiding. Commissioner Ken Rivers was absent with the rest of the board in attendance. Five items were discussed, which included: 1). A discussion with the Board of Assessors (also in a called meeting status) to discuss assessments, 2). Discussion on Zoning Items, 3). A resolution and agreement with the Chamber of Commerce for Tourism, 4). Discussion on signing documents related to the Sheriff’s entering into an agreement with LensLock, Inc. for body cameras, and 5). An EMS Fee increase. The Board adjourned the workshop at 5:46 PM.
Section 2: Session Preliminaries
Chairman Brown called the meeting to order.
Item 2022-04-077 Adoption of the Docket
Mr. Douglas moved to approve the docket, seconded by Mr. Crumley with unanimous consent, 4-0.
Item 2022-04-078 Special Recognitions
Mr. Johnson recognized Assistant Fire Chief Randy Prince for being named as the Chamber of Commerce’s Butts County Employee of the Year.

Planning and Development
Item 2022-04-079 Public Hearing on Case 04(01)2022 Rezoning 41+ Acres, R1/R2 to AR
A public hearing was held on the above case to revert 41+ acres to AR zoning for purposes of agriculture. One citizen spoke in favor of and no one spoke against. Mr. Douglas moved to approve, seconded by Mr. Henderson with unanimous consent and no conditions.

Item 2022-04-080 County Resolution CR202221 Authorizing Agreement with Chamber
Resolution 21 was presented authorizing the Chairman to sign a contract with the Butts County Chamber of Commerce that would allocate certain tourism dollars as prescribed by law to the Chamber of Commerce and designating them as the County Destination Marketing Organization. esert needed marketing organization. Mr. Douglas motion to approve the resolution, seconded by Mr. Crumbley with unanimous consent. The Resolution shall be recorded in the Book of Resolutions, Volume 1.
Item 2022-04-081 County Resolution CR202222 Authorizing Contract with LensLock, Inc.
Resolution 22 was presented authorizing the signing of a contract between Butts County and LensLock, Inc. for body cameras. It is noted for the record that this contract was entered into by the sheriff of the county under his authority, and that the county must also sign this resolution to ensure that budgetary funds will be allocated to pay for the equipment. Mr. Douglas moved to approve, seconded by Mr. Henderson with unanimous consent. The Resolution shall be recorded in the Book of Resolutions, Volume 1.
Item 2022-04-082 County Resolution CR202223 Adjusting Certain EMS Billing Fees
Resolution 23 was presented authorizing an adjustment to ambulance billing fees for Advanced Life Support Level 2 and a one dollar per mile increase in ambulance billing fees. Mr. Douglas moved to approve the resolution, seconded by Mr. Henderson with unanimous consent. The Resolution shall be recorded in the Book of Resolutions, Volume 1.
