NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS REGARDING AMENDMENT TO THE DEVELOPMENT IMPACT FEE ORDINANCE
The Butts County Board of Commissioners will conduct a series of Public Hearings for the purpose of considering the matter listed below. The Public Hearings will be held on Monday, January 10, 2022 and Monday, January 24, 2022 at 6:00 PM in Courtroom B at the Butts County Administration Building located at 625 West Third Street, Jackson, Georgia.

Amendment to the development impact fee ordinance of Butts County regarding payment schedule.

Also, the Butts County Planning and Zoning Commission will conduct a public hearing for the purpose of considering the matter listed below. The Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 6:00 PM at the Butts County Administration Building in Courtroom B located at 625 West Third Street, Jackson, Georgia.

Recommendations by the Planning and Zoning Commission on this matter will go before the Butts County Board of Commissioners, which, prior to voting, will also conduct a public hearing on this matter, on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 6:00PM at the Butts County Administration Building in Courtroom B located at 625 West Third Street, Jackson, Georgia.

Notice is given pursuant to O.C.G.A §36-71-6 of two public hearings on an amendment to the development impact fee ordinance of Butts County regarding payment schedule. The proposed amendment is on file with the Clerk and the Planning & Development Director.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS REGARDING THE UPDATES TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
Butts County is completing the process to update the comprehensive plan. The comprehensive plan is prepared according to the rules for local comprehensive planning issued by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA).

The purpose of the public hearing is to inform the public that the draft comprehensive plan is available for review and will be submitted for formal review by the Department of Community Affairs and the Three Rivers Regional Commission. Those interested in commenting on the plan are encouraged to attend the meeting. Comments will also be received during the 30-day review period. The plan will be available on the county website.

The public hearing will go before the Butts County Planning Commission meeting on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 6pm at the Butts County Administrative Building, Courtroom B, located at 625 West 3rd Street, Jackson, GA 30233 2 at 6 p.m.

Recommendations by the Planning and Zoning Commission on each of these matters will go before the Butts County Board of Commissioners, which, prior to voting, will also conduct public hearings on each of the matters, on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 6:00PM at the Butts County Administration Building in Courtroom B located at 625 West Third Street, Jackson, Georgia.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS REGARDING REZONING MATTERS AND APPROVAL TO TRANSMIT UPDATES TO DCA
The Butts County Planning and Zoning Commission will conduct a meeting on a series of Public Hearings for the purpose of considering the matters listed below. The Public Hearings will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 6:00 PM at the Butts County Administration Building in Courtroom B located at 625 West Third Street, Jackson, Georgia.

A). Case # 01(01)2022 – M L Simpson Foundation Trust of Atlanta, GA and Liberty Property Limited Partnership of Denver, CO has requested to rezone approximately 74.357 +/- acres from AR – Agricultural-Residential to M-1 – Manufacturing- Light. The property is located on Wallace Road & Highway 16 W (Map/Parcel – 00030-039-000 & 00040-001-B00) in the Second Land District, Land Lots 7 & 144. The rezoning request is for a proposed warehouse and distribution center.

B). Consider annual updates to the Capital Improvements Element of the Comprehensive Plan for Butts County to transmit to Three Rivers Regional Commission and Department of Community Affairs for review and approval.

C). Consider annual updates to the Short-Term Work Program for Butts County to transmit to Three Rivers Regional Commission and Department of Community Affairs for review and approval.

D). Amendment to the development impact fee ordinance of Butts County regarding payment schedule.

NOTICE OF JOINT PUBLIC HEARINGS OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS AND BOARD OF EDUCATION REGARDING APPROVAL OF REDISTRICTING MAPS
Notice is hereby given that the Butts County Board of Commissioners and the Butts County Board of Education will hold a joint public hearing on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 6:00 PM in Courtroom B of the County Administrative Office Building, 625 West Third Street, Jackson, Georgia.

The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments on proposed redistricting maps that will define new County Commissioner and School Board Member districts within Butts County, prior to the two boards taking final action to approve the maps. Once approved, the maps will be sent to the Georgia General Assembly for final approval in the 2022 legislative session. The proposed maps are currently available for viewing at the Board of Commissioners Office, Suite 4 CAOB, at the address shown above, and at www.buttscountyga.com
