The Magistrate Court of Butts County is compiling a list of local organizations or county offices willing to accept court ordered community service workers. If an individual has been convicted of violating a county ordinance violation, but does not have the financial means to pay a fine the individual is given an opportunity to complete court ordered community service. Individuals sentenced to community service in the Magistrate Court have been found guilty of violations of local county ordinance violations such as disorderly conduct, public intoxication, property nuisance and/or animal control violations, etc.
