Executive Assistant / Procurement Coordinator 

The Butts County Commissioners Office is seeking applicants for the position of Executive Assistant/Procurement Coordinator. 

This full-time position will serve as an Executive Assistant and administer a centralized purchasing program for procurement of goods and services. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provides Administrative support to the County Manager including correspondence, report preparation and organizational communications.
  • Facilitates and coordinates meetings, gatherings and other events at the request of the County Manager.
  • Accepts, leads and manages assigned special projects, including those which impact or influence organizational policy.
  • Performs research as requested.
  • Manages County Manager’s calendar, determines access to Manager’s office provides logistical support.
  • Developing and ensuring adherence to purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Ensure goods and services are received in a timely manner.
  • Structure solicitations and contracts to obtain the best value for the county by balancing such factors as price, quality, and risk.
  • Develops and implements bid proposals, bid tabulations, award letters, and opening procedures; also, RFP’s and RFQ’s.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma.
  • College degree in field of Business preferred.
  • Experience in Local Government Administration/Governmental Purchasing preferred.
  • Experience as an Executive Assistant.
  • Possess a Georgia Driver’s License.
