Due to the Primary Runoff Election being held on Tuesday, the voting machines will be required to be locked and secured in the auditorium of the Administration Building after they are set up on Monday and the room will be unavailable. Due to this, we are planning on MOVING the called Commissioner’s Meeting for a public hearing on the proposed Dollar General store, scheduled for Monday, July 23rd, to the main courtroom of the Butts County Courthouse. Please enter the building on the Mulberry Street side of the square across from the old City Pharmacy. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM; however, we will open the meeting and call a short recess to allow any interested citizens who might go to the administration building to relocate to the courthouse. We apologize for this inconvenience but we did not wish to delay this public hearing to another date if it could be avoided. Signs will be posted at the Administration Building to direct people to the revised location and parking is available around the square and in the three adjacent city parking lots.
