WEDNESDAY, July 13th-Senator Ross Tolleson addressed members of the ACCG Natural Resources and Conservation Committee in Butts County today. The Senator discussed the expensive infrastructure costs to expand water management systems and that public-private partnerships would be allowed to join for water related projects, at the discretion of the local governments should a bill to allow this pass. North Georgia is currently dealing with a surface water deficit and South Georgia is having deficits now in both surface and ground water wells both.

He reminded those present not to buy into the myth that water shortages is not “an Atlanta problem” but a Georgia one that affects us all.
