Opening:

The called meeting of the Butts County Board of Commissioners was called to order at 10:00 AM on July 5, 2012 in the C. Wayne King Auditorium, Jackson Georgia by Chairman Roger D. McDaniel.

Michael Brewer, Interim County Administrator

A.             New Business

Item 2012-07-076-Adoption of County Government Millage Rate

Nancy Washington, Tax Commissioner presented the mil rate of 14.413 and the value of a mil being 605,786; Nancy also handed out computation of millage rate rollback, the certification of tax year 2012, the amount of insurance premium and local option sales tax proceeds for 2012 millage adjustment and current 2012 tax digest and 5 year history of levy. Along with her information, the letter from the school board as well.

Chairman asked for a motion to adopt the millage rate of 14.413; Hodges motion to adopt, seconded by Patterson with unanimous consent.

Meeting was adjourned at 10:10 AM by Hodges, seconded by Douglas with unanimous consent.

Second Called Meeting

A.             New Business

Item 2012-07-077-Adoption of County Combined Millage Rate

Mr. Brewer presented the county mil rate of 14.413, the state at .200 and the school board mil rate of 19.000 for a combined total of 33.613.

Chairman asked for a motion to adopt the combined millage rate of 33.613 and to so designate the use of Insurance Premium Funds to Roads, Bridges & Emergency Services in the amount of $735,604.92 Patterson motioned to adopt, seconded by Douglas with unanimous consent.
