Butts County is the focus of a feature article in the January 2012 issue of Georgia Trend Magazine which is published monthly as the magazine of Georgia business and politics. The magazine which has one of the largest circulations in Georgia is also reviewed by many companies and industries looking to locate in Georgia and the article showcases Butts County and it’s three cities, Jackson, Flovilla and Jenkinsburg as being ready and welcoming to industry wishing to locate here.

The article features interviews with local government and civic leaders with a focus on both the community’s rich past and it’s vision for the future as it positions itself for the eventual recovery of the state and national economy.

There is an emphasis on the attributes the county offers, including its abundant water supply, available land and strong community partnerships among the three cities, the county, local civic organizations, community banks and educational facilities. They even explored some of Butts County’s history during the Civil War and how a local act of heroism saved the county’s history for future generations to enjoy.
